Welcome to the Glenfeshie Hostel

Glenfeshie Hostel / Bunkhouse is located in the heart of the Cairngorms National Park 4 miles upstream of Feshiebridge on the eastern side of the river. There are only two other houses further along the glen thus ensuring a peaceful and tranquil location. The hostel lies below the two Munros of Sgor Gaoith and Mullach Clach a’ Bhlair and is unusual in that it allows direct access with the footpath leading up to them being only 400 mtrs distant. This makes it a great place to celebrate a final Munro ascent as celebrations can begin as soon as the party get below the tree line!

Glenfeshie Hostel sleeps 16 in 3 x 4 bed bunk rooms and 1 x 4 single bed room in bunkhouse type accommodation. There is a communal living and cooking area heated by a large wood burning stove. There are separate male and female shower rooms along with a drying room and laundry room.

The hostel / bunkhouse specializes in group accommodation and is ideal for extended family gatherings, school, college or university parties and for mountaineering and cycling club meets.

Red squirrels can be seen most days in the adjacent woodlands and Capercaillie have been seen in the winter. Red deer are a common site, grazing in the fields between the hostel and the river.

Bring an alarm clock if you need to get up early as the total silence that greets the morning ensures that you sleep in otherwise.

Glenfeshie Hostel is now a member of Cairngorms Hostels. This is a cooperative association set up to share knowledge and resources with other hostels and bunkhouses within or close to the Cairngorms National Park. To view other hostels in the the CNP please go to www.cairngormshostels.co.uk
